Title: The Hope of Glory Scripture: Colossians 1:21–29

Once estranged and hostile in mind, we were made alive and reconciled through Christ’s finished work. In Colossians 1:21–29 Paul paints a picture of our transformation from alienation to adoption, moving from darkness into the light of God’s kingdom. This sermon will explore three central truths that flow from “the hope of glory”:

• Our past condition: honest, unflinching acknowledgment of sin’s power and the separation it creates between humanity and God.

• Christ’s reconciling work: how Jesus’ death and resurrection not only forgive but restore our identity, presenting us holy and blameless before God.

• Our present calling: living out the mystery now revealed — proclaiming Christ, growing in maturity, and enduring faithfully as members of His body.

We will consider Paul’s burden for the church, his gospel-centered labor, and the promise that this reconciliation points toward final glory. Come be reminded that your standing before God rests not on effort but on Christ’s finished work, and be encouraged to live and labor in that hope for the sake of others.
