Rooted and Alive: Living in Christ (Colossians 2:6–23)

In Colossians 2:6–23 Paul calls believers to live firmly rooted in Christ, resisting false teaching and empty philosophies that pull us away. This passage challenges us to recognize the fullness we already possess in Jesus — forgiveness, new life, and freedom from legalism — and to grow in practical faith, not merely in knowledge. Paul warns against human rules that appear wise but lack power to transform the heart, urging us instead to embrace the reality of Christ’s work: we are spiritually made complete in him.

Join us as we explore how to:

  • Continue to walk in Jesus with firm conviction and daily dependence.

  • Discern and reject teachings that diminish Christ’s supremacy.

  • Experience freedom from legalism, empty asceticism, and false spirituality.

  • Root our identity and practice in the gospel so faith produces real transformation.

Come be encouraged to live from what Christ has already done — growing, resisting error, and flourishing in the fullness of him.
