Blessed With Purpose
Blessed With Purpose | Dr. Kelly Wheat | 10:30 a.m.
Genesis 12:1–9 — God calls Abram to leave everything familiar and go where God will show him. This sermon examines the courage God asks of us when He calls us into the unknown, the faith that trusts God’s promise of blessing, and the mission that blessing carries to make God’s name known. We’ll look at three simple truths from Abram’s response: (1) Obedience begins with a willingness to leave—God’s call often requires us to release security, plans, and places; (2) Promise creates purpose—God’s promise to bless Abram is the foundation for a life lived for others; and (3) Worship anchors the journey—Abram’s altars show that following God leads to worship and testimony wherever we go. Come prepared to consider what God may be asking you to leave behind, to receive again His promises, and to step out in faith so God’s blessing flows through you to the world.
