In Genesis 1 we meet a God who brings order, purpose, and goodness out of the formless. This sermon explores the opening acts of creation as an invitation to trust a Creator who speaks life into chaos, defines the value of every part of creation, and sets humanity within a purposeful design. We’ll consider how God’s rhythm of work and rest shapes our worship, how being made in God’s image informs our identity and responsibility, and how the goodness repeated throughout the chapter calls us to steward and celebrate the world around us. Practical application will focus on living with intentionality, honoring God’s pattern of rest, and reflecting God’s creative care in our relationships and community.
