Marriage by Design — Genesis 2:15–25

God shaped marriage at the heart of creation. In Genesis 2:15–25 we find the first home, the first helper, and the first covenantal relationship ordained by the Creator. This sermon explores how God’s design—work and rest, belonging and companionship, mutuality and unity—frames marriage not as an accidental arrangement but as a purposeful, God-given institution. We’ll consider what it means to be made for relationship, how “helper” speaks to strength and partnership, and why leaving, cleaving, and becoming one flesh remain the foundation for faithful marriage today. Practical encouragement and biblical clarity will help couples, singles, and church families live out God’s original intent for marriage in the life of our congregation.
