Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–20)
Paul closes his letter to the Ephesians by reminding us that the Christian life is not safe from struggle but is secured by God’s power. We are called to stand firm—not by our own strength, but by the Lord’s. The imagery of the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit points us to a practical, everyday reliance on God: truth that grounds us, righteousness that protects our hearts, readiness to proclaim the good news, faith that extinguishes every doubt and attack, the assurance of salvation guarding our minds, and God’s Word as our active weapon.
This Sunday we will unpack how each piece of the armor translates into daily habits—internal and communal—that equip us to resist spiritual opposition and to pray with persistence. We’ll explore Paul’s plea for prayer for boldness and clarity as he serves, and what it means for us to pray for one another as we carry the gospel into our neighborhoods, workplaces, and homes. Come prepared to be encouraged, challenged, and given concrete steps to put on God’s armor at home, at work, and in our relationships.
