Jesus’ Ministry: Proclaiming Good News to the Oppressed

• How does Jesus’ ministry embody God’s care for the marginalized?

• How can you extend His compassion to those around you?

• Consider: Jesus is our example, our archetype. The Church should bear His image in our interactions with our community and the world. Jesus spent time at the temple and the synagogue, yet He intentionally went to the broken and the marginalized. In following His example, we should also not limit our Christian experience to the church building or small group. Our commission is to engage the world in all its mess and brokenness. We love because He loved us. Pray for people that you know who are on the margins of society. Pray that God would give you a heart to serve them and love them.
