June 8 Reflections

Jesus’ love for the Outsider

  • How does Jesus’ ministry challenge societal views on justice and inclusion?

  • How can you follow His example in your own relationships?

  • Where would Jesus spend His days if He lived in our community?

  • How different would Jesus’ daily schedule and rhythm be from your daily schedule and rhythm? Why?

  • Consider: Jesus was intentional with the lowly and the broken. The Beatitudes in the Gospels point to God’s heart for the downtrodden. Yet, in our society, we often devote our time to moving on and upward. We can easily forget the despised. Pray for a heart that reflects God’s heart and follows the example of Jesus. If you’re not serving locally or globally in a kingdom ministry that serves the poor, the abused, the broken, or the despised, please look for a way to make a difference in the name of Jesus.
