Jesus is Justice and Mercy

• Reflection: Jesus doesn’t compromise on justice—He fulfills it. How does this bring both comfort and challenge?

• Do you see areas of your life where your sense of justice resembles the world’s view of justice more than God’s?

• Consider: Jesus is the ultimate example of justice and mercy. Throughout the Biblical story, God has called His people to represent justice for the vulnerable and the marginalized of society. While God’s people often fell short of His righteous standard, Jesus was fully just and fully merciful. He met all of the standard for loving people exactly as they needed to be loved. He continues to be our example in how we should care for those around us who are dealing with suffering and pain.
