The Messiah and Justification

• Jesus’ birth and early ministry proclaim both peace and justice. How does His arrival shape your view of true peace?

• How does the cross address the sin and injustice of the world, providing hope for those who trust in Christ as Lord?

• How does reconciliation through Christ shape your relationships with others?

• Consider: The Old Testament continually points to the arrival of the Messiah for the restoration and reconciliation of the world. What God’s people failed in accomplishing through obedience to the Law, God would accomplish through the Holy One who would redeem God’s creation. As the New Testament opens, it becomes clear that the New Testament authors acknowledge Jesus as the restorer of all that was lost in the Garden.
